Find out exactly when your Oregon license renews and how many continuing-education hours you need.
Your license renews:
How Oregon renewal works
Your license expires the last day of your birth month (OAR 863-014-0030). The first period is prorated (13-24 months); after that it renews every 24 months. Renewal opens the 1st of your birth month, with a 1-year late grace period before it lapses.
30 hours of continuing education every 2 years to renew active.
Active renewal requires 30 CE hours every 2 years. As of Jan 1, 2026 (HB 3137) this includes a 2-hour Fair Housing course plus the Law & Rule Required Course (LARRC); the first active renewal also includes the Broker Advanced Practices course.
