Information We Collect

When you register and enroll, we collect the account information you provide (such as your name, contact details, and login), your course progress and assessment results, and the records we are required to keep by state regulators. We use this information to enroll you, deliver your course, and issue your certificate.

Payments

Card payments are processed on Authorize.Net's PCI DSS SAQ-A 'Accept Hosted' form. Your card data is tokenized and is never stored on our systems. Sales tax, where applicable, is calculated through TaxCloud.

Service Providers

We share information only as needed with the service providers that help us operate the platform - for example, payment processing, sales-tax calculation, and video delivery through Vimeo. We do not sell your personal information.

Cookies and Sessions

We use cookies and session management to operate the course player and to keep your account secure, including automatically logging out inactive sessions after 60 minutes. Our advertising and analytics partners also set cookies, described under Advertising and Analytics.

Advertising and Analytics

We advertise our courses on platforms such as Google and Microsoft. Our site uses their measurement tags (Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Advertising), which set cookies and collect information such as your IP address, the pages you visit, and ad-click identifiers, so we can measure whether our ads work. When you make a purchase, we report the transaction — including its value and, in hashed (non-readable) form, limited contact information — to these platforms for measurement.

With your consent where required, we may also share limited identifiers (such as your email address) with these platforms in hashed, one-way encoded form for audience matching — for example, Google Customer Match — to show you relevant ads, reach people with similar interests, or exclude you from ads you don't need. These identifiers are hashed before transfer, are used only to build ad audiences, and cannot be used by the platform for any other purpose. This is not a sale of your personal information, and advertising platforms never receive your course records or assessment results.

You can opt out of personalized ads at adssettings.google.com and account.microsoft.com/privacy/ad-settings, and out of our own marketing as described under "Your Choices"; students who have opted out of marketing are excluded from these audience lists.

Data Security

We protect your information using industry-standard safeguards. Data is encrypted in transit using TLS with 256-bit AES, account passwords are stored as one-way bcrypt hashes, and stored files are encrypted using AES-256.

Log Files

Our servers automatically record standard log information, such as IP address and browser type, to help us analyze trends, administer the site, and maintain security. Except as described under Advertising and Analytics, this information is not linked to personally identifiable information.

Data Retention

We retain student records for as long as required by applicable state law and regulator requirements.

Your Choices

You may request access to or correction of your account information by contacting support@realestateschool.org. You may also opt out of non-essential marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link or by emailing the same address; notices necessary to deliver your course and service will still be sent.

Children

Our courses are intended for adult professional learners and are not directed to children.

Notification of Changes

If we make material changes to this policy, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the 'Last Updated' date shown below. Significant changes affecting how we use your personal information will be communicated to you.
