Once you are licensed, you renew every two years. A standard renewal is 30 clock hours: a 3-hour Current Issues in Washington Real Estate (Core) course, a 3-hour Washington Fair Housing course, and 24 elective hours you choose. Your very first renewal is larger — 90 clock hours — because it adds the Advanced Practices and Real Estate Law courses. See CE requirements or first-renewal details.
Life doesn't stop while you earn clock hours. Study on a lunch break or on the couch, then finish on your laptop later — your place in every course syncs automatically between the app and the website, so you never lose progress or repeat a slide.
Complete 90 hours of DOL-approved pre-license education (the 60-hour Washington Real Estate Fundamentals course plus the 30-hour Real Estate Practices course), pass the PSI broker exam covering the national and Washington state portions, submit your fingerprints for a background check, then apply to the Washington Department of Licensing and affiliate with a managing broker. All of the coursework can be completed online and self-paced.
