Summary of Washington First Renewal Requirements |
The State of Washington is currently in the process of implementing new laws which will change the courses agents must take for their first license renewal. These changes will take effect on July 1, 2010. Current clock hour requirements remain in place for those with renewal dates prior to July 1, 2010. Any licensee with a renewal date that falls on July 1, 2010 or later will be subject to the new laws. Current First Renewal Requirements: Each agent on their first renewal is required to take 60 hours including a 30 hour Practices and a 3 hour CORE class. The remaining 30 hours are elective. Licensees with renewal dates on or after July 1, 2010: In addition to the current requirements, all licensees will need to complete a 3 hour Transition course. |
